Remote Live Captioning for the Traditional Mons Ducasse
On June 4, TéléMB and Dreamwall collaborated to offer a first-of-its-kind experience in remote live captioning, aimed at deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences, during the broadcast of the Doudou festival in Mons.
With a sense of pride, TéléMB (the local television channel for the Greater Mons and Hauts Pays region, Editor's note) welcomed this new technology into its infrastructure as a community media outlet, with the goal of making all its content, including live events, more accessible. Dreamwall was equally thrilled to participate in developing innovative solutions, enabling broadcasters in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation to make their programs more accessible to the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
This televised event provided an opportunity to explore this novel solution of live captioning remotely, without the need for specialized teams within broadcasting entities.
In the near future, we’ll present the key achievements of the Accessibility team and highlight those who practice this unique profession.
To discover or revisit: behind-the-scenes footage of the preparation for this exceptional day with the Dreamwall teams, produced by TéléMB.
